Philadelphia Navy Yard

In 2004, Liberty and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) unveiled the comprehensive master plan to re-develop the entire 1,200-acre of the de-commissioned U.S. Naval Base in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Liberty and PIDC assembled a team of architects and designers from across the United States and Europe for this project. The site benefits from its location within the South Philadelphia community and adjacency to nearby Center City Philadelphia. Outstanding restaurants, shopping, golfing, walking and biking trails, and professional sports venues can all be found within minutes of the Navy Yard's front gate.

Liberty is currently developing the Navy Yard Corporate Center, a 70-acre corporate business park in a joint venture with Synterra Partners. Designated as a Keystone Opportunity Improvement Zone (KOIZ), the Navy Yard Corporate Center offers qualified businesses substantial city and state tax abatements through 2018. Liberty has developed build-to-suits for Apptec Laboratory Services, Unique Industries, Tasty Baking Company and GlaxoSmithKline. Every building that Liberty Property Trust and Synterra Partners develop in the Navy Yard Corporate Center will be registered for LEED Certification.
