Liberty Business Center in Northeast Atlanta Metro Achieves LEED® Silver Certification

Fully Leased Industrial Campus Recognized for Sustainable Design

Atlanta - September 18, 2018 - With the installation of an understated plaque, a three-year quest to develop, open and fully lease two Class A sustainable industrial buildings in Buford, Ga. has been achieved.

"There is definite satisfaction in seeing that LEED® Silver marker displayed at Liberty Business Center," said Steve Rowley, Liberty vice president and market leader in Georgia. "Our ability to show value in sustainable design helped to quickly bring each building to full occupancy."

Liberty estimates that the sustainably designed buildings will use approximately 25-percent less energy and 35-percent less water than traditional ones, savings directly benefit the tenant.

"It's important to communicate the benefits of LEED certification to tenants, especially in the industrial sector where return of investment is fast. At Liberty Business Center, both tenants embraced the opportunity to save energy, water and, of course, money and we are excited to replicate the impact for others," said Rowley.

A few of the design components contributing to LEED Silver certification include locally sourced materials, high-efficiency fixtures, and electric vehicle parking. Both buildings also feature 50-by-54-foot column spacing, 32-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinkler systems and extensive trailer parking.

Building One (3525 Gravel Springs Road Extension; 120,400 square feet) was fully leased to ProCraft Cabinetry while under development in 2017. Building Two (3535 Gravel Springs Road Extension; 235,234 square feet) has been leased by VTS America, which took 120,657 square feet as the building neared completion last fall. ProCraft committed to the remaining 132,511 square feet in early 2018.

Liberty Business Center is in proximity to I-85, I-985 and the new Gravel Springs interchange.
